Good News to All mobile sms users,The government has announced that the SMS limit for Individuals will be increased to 20 Per day from that of the earlier 5 per day.This comes as a great relief for people who used sms to convey info rather than calling.
They have announced with immediate effect all mobile users will be able to send 20 SMS per day against the previous allowed 5 sms per day.
I just called the Airtel customer service and they confirmed the news,But they said it will be available only from tomorrow.However this increased limit is much better than the previous.
If you are not aware of the SMS limit in India,Indian government ordered telecom companies to limit sms ,Mms usage to 5 per customer to curb out rumours spreading about north Indians which encouraged violence.It was scheduled for 15 days at 5 sms per day.But now since the situation is in control,Government has raised the number of sms to 20 per day.
